Temporary Tattoos

vintage tattoo photo via fyms

Not your typical gum ball machine fake tattoo.

Chanel has come out with temporary tattoos.

Sephora carries Kat Von D's temporary tattoo's.

Betsy Johnson has a few cute one's too.

Temporary---I think this is pretty nifty!
Especially for someone like me who has none and wants a small tattoo but has no idea where to put it.
Pretty great for testing the waters....I think I may have to go pick some up this week.

What do you think? Do you have any?

Army Green

Please excuse the shirt-less man in the back, I have no idea who he is...haha! But really I don't.
Oh and the plastic cup is an adult beverage...we'll just pretend it's water.
This past Saturday I went to a day time dance party called Praia Urbana, here in Houston.
My friends have been throwing this party for the past 6 years and each one is bigger then the last.
Fun times! Great for people watching.

So the outfit I wore was pretty simple and military chic.
I thrifted the button up army shirt and the thick brown belt was thrifted as well.
I wore dark denim shorts and gladiator sandals.
Accessorized with a vintage gold and red bracelet.
Big gold earring, that my hair are hiding.
I can recycle this outfit again with some jeans in the fall.
So this next picture is of myself, husband and friends at
Fashion Night Out that the Houston Neiman Marcus was hosting a few weeks ago.
To tell you the truth, I never shop there, but it was Fashion Night Out, so I made the best of it.
I wore an army green dress that I purchased at Forever 21.
Vintage Black Bow kitten heels and a vintage black patten leather purse.
The necklace which you can hardly see was made of up-cycled gold chains and topaz flower brooch.

So as you can see I'm really digging the military chic look!
But I can't wait till it's a bit cooler out...I have some lady like dresses I can't wait to wear.

A Hint of Leopard

Alessandra Ambrosio for Vogue Nippon via fashiongonerogue

As Leopard print is this Fall season, I have never really been one to pull off the
leopard print, unless it is in small doses, such as a pair of shoes or a purse.

Leopard shoe clips via modcloth

**Shoe clips! How I love thee! I don't they make as many shoe clips as before since they aren't as popular.
But I really don't see why not? I mean you can put these cute clips on any solid color shoe and make it look like a new pair instead of going out and buying a new shoe.**

On Friday a friend and I were discussing how neither she, nor I can pull of the leopard print look, such as dresses or blouses.
Do you like leopard print and can you pull off the look?
If you can pull it off, I'm a bit jealous.

DIY: change of buttons

So I was reading in GLAMOUR's September issue the other day
on how you can change up your fall look without spending to much on your wardrobe.
Let's take a blazer or jacket for example...they suggested to change the buttons.
What a fab idea!
Change the buttons or even button covers work great!

I'm not sure they make button covers anymore, but I found these last week while thrifting!
I only spent $2.50 and now all I have to do is slip these beauties over my buttons.

The perfect look for the fall season.

Can you imagine how your blazer would look with a small simple change like the buttons above!

Even if you just sew some new button's on, no major cash spent on a new jacket,
now maybe you can spend them on some new shoes!

Color Me Red

photo of Tetyana Brazhnyk via fashiongonerouge

Red lips!
Every lady should have a nice red shade of a lipstick.
The thing about it is you can't really just pick one up at the drugstore and hope it works,
you have to find the right shade for your skin tone.

I received red lipstick as a gift last year and couldn't wear it because my skin tone is to yellow
and the lipstick came out to orange looking on me.
So I asked for help at the make up counter and they suggested I search for a red lip liner with a blue tone,
to off set the reddish-orange lipstick color I had going on. (It was MAC makeup)
It worked perfect!

Are you one of those lucky gals with a great color skin that can pull any color off?

Is there a certain brand you prefer for your lipstick?
